Rainier IT Solutions, LLC ("Rainier IT," "we," "us") is a managed IT services provider based in Orting, Washington. We provide IT support, cybersecurity, backup, cloud infrastructure, web design, and AI solutions to small businesses in Pierce & King County and surrounding areas.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

Contact form submissions (name, email, phone, company, message)
Chat widget conversations and any contact information shared in chat
Client portal account information (name, email, company)
Service requests and support ticket content

Information collected automatically

Server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer)
Google reCAPTCHA v3 scores (used to detect bot traffic — see Google's privacy policy)
Local storage for theme preference (dark/light mode) — never transmitted to our servers

Information we collect as your IT provider

If you are a managed IT client, we collect telemetry from your endpoints (hardware info, software versions, patch status, performance metrics) via TacticalRMM and Prometheus. This data is used exclusively to provide and improve our services to you and is not sold or shared with third parties.

To respond to inquiries and provide the services you request
To send service updates, invoices, and support correspondence
To monitor and improve our website and service performance
To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive interactions (reCAPTCHA)
To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as needed to deliver our services (e.g., email delivery, payment processing).

4. Data retention

Contact form and chat data is retained for 12 months unless you request earlier deletion. Client service data is retained for the duration of our engagement plus 3 years, or as required by applicable law. Server access logs are retained for 90 days.

5. Third-party services

Google reCAPTCHA v3 — used on contact forms and chat to detect bots. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — font files loaded from Google's CDN. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Invoice Ninja — billing and invoice management for clients.
Zammad — help desk and ticketing system for support requests.

All third-party services used for client management run on self-hosted infrastructure we control.

6. Security

We apply the same security practices to your data that we recommend to our clients: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest, MFA on all administrative systems, and least-privilege access controls. Our infrastructure is monitored 24/7.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
